Hawaiian BBQ cauliflower
Hawaiian BBQ sauce
INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup pineapple 
- 5 cloves garlics 
- 1/4 cup ginger 
- 2 cans tomato paste 
- 1/4 cup rice wine vinegar 
- 1/2 cup brown sugar 
- 2 tbsp molasses 
- 1 tbsp soy sauce 
- 1 tbsp sesame/chili oil (or regular sesame oil) 
- 1 tsp onion powder 
- 1 1/2 tsp salt 
METHOD
- in a blender (or with a mortar and pestle), puree the pineapple, garlic and ginger 
- combine all the ingredients in a mixing bowl 
Hawaiian BBQ Cauliflower
INGREDIENTS
- one head of cauliflower 
- 1 cup of homemade Hawaiian BBQ sauce 
METHOD
- cut the cauliflower into florets 
- boil for 7-8 minutes 
- drain well 
- in a mixing bowl, combine the parboiled cauliflower and the BBQ sauce 
- place the florets on a high heat grill, keep remaining BBQ sauce 
- after 5 minutes brush with the remaining sauce 
- grill for another 5 minutes or until charred
